Part I: Introduction to EPortfolios- What is an EPortfolio Weblog?

Although grades are the "currency" in academia, they are not the sole reflection of what you have learned, nor do they always demonstrate the depth of your growth and evolution as a reader, writer, and learner. EPortfolios are electronic filing systems that allow you to not only publish your finished writing, but they also allow you to post, share, and store your reflections and process work so that you can keep track of your own learning deepen your understanding of your own reading and writing process.
 
 In this class, I will ask you to publish major essay assignments and some process work, please feel free to use your portfolio to also publish any other academic "products" from other courses-- anything that demonstrates your learning as a reader, writer and learner.

You will receive a more detailed description of what you must include in your final portfolio, but for now, here are the basic requirements:

1. Final draft of each out-of-class essay
2. Certain selected process assignments (reading/writing journals) 
3. Your personal dictionary
4. Visualizations (for readings and essays)
5. Reflections: in writing and on video
